WOMEN'S CIRCLE

A unique opportunity centering around your 'matrescence' journey

How did you feel when you became a mother?

This is a nourishing opportunity to go deep into unresolved feelings about any stage of your journey from maiden to mother (regardless of how long ago that was for you). Feelings around:

  • The road to conception
  • The babies we carried but never met
  • A body which is unrecognisable after stretching and giving life
  • Our changing identity and losing touch with ourselves in motherhood
  • The changing relationship with partners and parents
  • Navigating an unexpected birth result
  • Non-consensual birth interference or disrespectful treatment from caregivers
  • The shock we experienced in the immediate postpartum time with little support
  • Our breastfeeding challenges
  • The decisions we wish we could make differently, based on what we know now
  • The changing family dynamic that an additional sibling brings
  • The intensity of the guilt, shame, fear and isolation that accompanies motherhood as well as the overwhelming love, gratitude and joy
  • The positive aspects we'd love to (validly) express but self-censor out of concern for others less fortunate in their experiences.

About our circles

These evenings are a safe, nurturing and confidential space to share and be witnessed without judgement or advice.

Miracles are possible when we are seen, heard and held in our times of frustration, anger, worry and grief. Circles offer a unique space to move through these emotions and fully release them.

Tears (and often spontaneous laughter) ensue and we leave feeling lighter - cleansed of residual 'stuff' that we would have simply carried around with us (impacting our relationships, physical health and mental wellbeing).

Shame and guilt dissolve. The voice of our inner critic softens. Courage and inspiration take hold as we realise we're less alone on our respective journeys than we think we are.

If you've never experienced a circle before, it's a powerful emotional cleanse that does wonders for all aspects of our health - especially when included as a regular practice. These evenings provide an exceptionally welcoming and supportive space, regardless of your level of experience.

Mondays, monthly

Our women's circles are a monthly occurrence, co-hosted by Georgia Lienemann & Rhiannon James on the first Monday of each month. Places are limited to preserve the intimate setting, so early bookings are required to reserve your spot.

About your host

Rhiannon James is a mother, wife and advocate for women transitioning from maiden to mother, as well as supporting them later in their mothering years. As a postpartum doula, she is passionate about caring for and empowering women to experience a positive, blissful fourth trimester. She has
journeyed through 3 pregnancies and birthed two beautiful girls, one is 5 and the other 2.

In talking and working with women navigating matrecense, Rhiannon is increasingly aware that many of us carry trauma or unresolved feelings stemming from somewhere in our transformation from maiden to mother. This could be from the very beginnings of conception, during pregnancy or birth, the early days of motherhood or even later on in our parenting journey.

Rhiannon believes in the healing power of vulnerability, of sitting in circle with other women and sharing these deep wounds with each other.
